Green IT truly believe in sustainable and clean energy. Their vision is to provide better IT solutions with a smaller ecological footprint. They do this by providing eco-friendly server housing and zero emission cloud services. For example, they are working with WestfalenWIND IT to make use of the empty spaces in wind turbines by putting server racks in them. Thus the wind turbine becomes a datacentre. That means that for 92% of the year, Green IT’s server infrastructure is powered from the wind turbine itself, without pulling any electricity from the grid.

They are implementing new technologies that enable them to provide a better end user customer experience through smarter customer support 24/7. Fujitsu worked with DFI, using AI to make the customer experience better. D-FI can now exploit their data to automate the routing of any query. This has reduced incident treatment by 20%. Before many customer calls were routed to the wrong team, now this does not happen. The process is simpler, faster and better.

Kateon Natie is working with Fujitsu and ELBEX to use real-time information to help improve traffic management and port control. Elbex give Katoen Natie a 360 solution. They enable Katoen Natie to collect data on every vehicle entering or leaving the terminal at Antwerp. This enables Katoen Natie to identify rush hours by calculating the number of vehicles entering and leaving the terminals, receiving alerts of registered vehicles and easily classify new vehicles. Each camera’s live video stream is continuously processed and analysed by dedicated Fujitsu servers, extracting license plates by using OCR algorithms
